Poultry - As apart of the National Poultry Improvement Plan the State of Idaho Department of Agriculture will provide testing for all birds entering the fair. All birds exhibiting in the 2017 North Idaho State Fair MUST BE TESTED TO DISPLAY AT FAIR.
Testing will be held at the fairgrounds on Tuesday, August 8 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at no cost to the exhibitor. The birds will be banded for identification purposes, and only the birds tested can be exhibited at fair.
No waterfowl will be tested or exhibited at fair.
There will be an informational meeting at the fairgrounds Thursday July 14th at 6 PM. Kerry Stanford, the I.S.D.A. livestock investigator will be here to answer any questions you may have about the testing process. Attendance is strongly suggested for all poultry exhibitors to make an informed decision about exhibiting at the fair. Call the 4-H or Fair Office for any questions.
